Oklahoma Deer Hunting Outfitter Experience

As a premier Oklahoma Deer Hunting Outfitter, we first would like to congratulate you on successfully booking an Oklahoma Whitetail Deer Hunt with Pennington Creek Hunting Club. What you are about to experience while you are on the Ranch is going to blow you away!

It is at least an hour and a half before the hint of any sunlight outside. The smell of coffee wakes you up after a good night’s sleep in our very handsome and cozy hunting lodge.  You get dressed in your camouflage and hunter orange vest. You then lace your hunting boots and eagerly wait for your guide to arrive. Little did you know that your whitetail guide has been outside for 30 minutes waiting for you to step out onto that cold Oklahoma front porch and get into the truck so he can take you to your hunting blind. Your guide has been scanning through various recent game camera pictures and knows which location will be the best for you to have a successful whitetail deer hunt. The temperature the night before in Southern Oklahoma lowered to 29 degrees, and nature is dropping a good frost over everything and anything that is exposed to its elements.

You and all your deer hunting gear finally make it into the truck with your guide.  The heat, the low sound of some old country music, and the smell of chewing tobacco are very nostalgic to you for some reason. You feel completely relaxed and taken care of as your   guide tells you good morning. Finally, you are off, driving down both gravel and dirt ranch roads to where you are hoping to experience a magical whitetail morning in the Oklahoma Deer Woods. Your guide begins telling you about the location where he is taking you, which is around three miles north of the hunting cabin.  This blows your mind because you cannot imagine driving three miles and never leaving/crossing the property line! Your guide has already shown to you some very recent game camera pictures. You are pumped and are already imagining one of those big trophy bucks on your wall. Your guide informs you that he has been seeing a certain shooter buck in the area quite often throughout the previous week, and that this whitetail buck usually comes out from a certain area which he describes in full detail.  Now you are even more pumped about this hunt!

Your guide finally settles you into your deer hunting blind and bids you farewell and good luck. Before leaving he confirms what the agreed pick-up time will be, unless he hears a different request from you by way of your cell phone. You shut the door to the blind, choose your chair from the two available, and quickly begin to make your hunting rifle loaded and ready. It will be needed the instant you see that Trophy Oklahoma Whitetail Buck.  You lay out your binoculars, and you are ready to see what kind of wildlife action is going to come past you during your morning hunt. After you open one of the blind windows, hear the faint sound of water flowing, and eventually realize Pennington Creek must be relatively nearby. Finally, after half an hour, the sun begins to hint that it is coming up.

You are slightly startled when the sudden sound of the corn feeder begins buzzing approximately 100 yards in front of you.  There is a pond to your right, which you are beginning to visualize, and a cold fog is lingering just on top of it. All of a sudden you see movement in the tree line on the other side of the pond. You immediately begin glassing with your binoculars in this area. It takes you a few minutes to determine if this is a doe or a buck, because this Whitetail deer is patiently standing so still, all that you can currently see clearly is the line of the deer’s back. After a few minutes the deer begins to move toward the food plot and feeder area….at that moment, the remainder of your Whitetail Trophy Buck Hunt at Pennington Creek Hunting Club is up to you!  Each hunt will be unique, inspiring, and guaranteed to be a memorable experience!  Come hunt Whitetail Deer with us at PCHC and make memories that will last a lifetime!

Deer Hunting Management Program

We manage over 13 Whitetail Deer Hunting Zones across our Southern Oklahoma Ranch. Each Whitetail Deer Hunting Management Zone has been uniquely chosen by our hunting guides and are each equipped with a top-of-the-line gravity protein feeder, a spin-cast corn feeder, a freshly prepared lush food plot (if the rocky area permits), a comfortable two-man, elevated, tower box blind, and a strategically placed single-person quad pod. Feeders are maintained year-round, giving the Whitetail Deer Herd optimal nutrition for health, antler growth/length, and multiple fawn production. The quad pods are close to the spin cast corn feeders in each zone for archery hunters, and the nearby tower blinds are very comfortable two-man blinds for rifle and black powder hunters. Our hunting guides will provide your transportation while you are with us. They will take you to your stand and then pick up both you and your Trophy Whitetail deer harvest after your hunt. Our hunting guides live and work on the ranch. Your Outfitter knows the best locations to place you across our beautiful 9,400 acres so that you will have the greatest opportunity for a successful deer hunt.

a. OKLAHOMA LIFETIME Hunting License holder: nothing else needed, this covers everything you need.

b. YOUTH (17 or under): if not in possession of a lifetime hunting license must, purchase a Youth Annual Super Hunting License (good for 365 days), nothing else needed, covers all deer licenses (and more). Get those kids out there and/or invite them to come out!
